We recently sat down with Tracy Holland, Founder of Goodwill Brands, a creator-to-company ecosystem that helps founders transform great products into scalable brands and sustainable businesses. After building and scaling consumer companies for more than two decades, Tracy now works with entrepreneurs, experts, and creators to bridge the gap between product innovation and long-term growth.
As the wellness industry continues to expand, we wanted to discuss what it takes to build a trusted brand in a market where consumers have more choices than ever before.
Q: Tracy, what separates a successful wellness brand from one that struggles to gain traction?
Tracy: Trust.
Consumers today are incredibly informed. They have access to endless information, products, and recommendations. What they are really looking for is confidence in the person and the brand behind the product.
The brands that win are the ones that create trust before they create transactions. They build relationships. They educate. They show up consistently.
In many ways, people are not buying products. They are buying confidence in the outcome.
Q: How important is personal brand in today’s wellness market?
Tracy: It has never been more important.
People connect with people before they connect with companies. Whether you are a spa owner, wellness expert, founder, or practitioner, your personal brand often becomes the bridge between your expertise and your audience.
One of the biggest opportunities I see is helping founders recognize that they already have influence. They simply have not structured it yet.
Influence without structure leaks money.
When you learn how to package your expertise, your experience, and your perspective, new opportunities begin to emerge.
Q: You often talk about turning influence into products. What does that mean?
Tracy: Most founders are sitting on valuable knowledge they have never monetized.
They solve problems every day. They answer questions every day. They guide clients every day.
Turning influence into products simply means taking what people already come to you for and creating something scalable around it. That might be a physical product, a digital offer, a membership, a service, or a brand extension.
The goal is not to work harder. The goal is to create leverage.
Q: How does Goodwill Brands help founders scale once they have identified that opportunity?
Tracy: We help connect the dots between idea and execution.
Many founders know what they want to build. The challenge is understanding product development, distribution, operations, partnerships, and growth.
Goodwill Brands exists to help founders move through those stages with greater clarity and confidence. We help build the infrastructure behind the vision and our InnerFifth accelerator works with entrepreneurs on how to turn their great idea into a manageable system that allows that idea to scale.
Q: What role does live selling play in building a wellness brand today?
Tracy: Live selling is one of the most effective trust-building tools available.
I’ve spent more than twenty years in live selling, beginning with QVC and continuing across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. What I’ve learned is that people buy when they feel connected.
Live selling allows founders to educate, demonstrate, answer questions, and create real relationships in real time. That connection shortens the distance between curiosity and confidence.
For wellness brands especially, education is often the sale.
Q: What advice would you give someone building a wellness business today?
Tracy: Start with service. Focus on solving a real problem for a specific person. Build trust first. Stay clear on your purpose.
Then look for opportunities to create leverage through products, partnerships, and systems that allow your impact to reach more people.
The most successful brands are not built overnight. They are built through consistency, credibility, and a genuine commitment to helping people improve their lives.
When you lead with that mindset, growth becomes a natural outcome.
